Cornish Blues, Saint Martins, Isles of Scilly

When we visited Saint Martins in the Isles of Scilly I was amazed by the colour of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. This painting is of that experience and memory of looking from the white sandy shoreline at the shallow waters gently ebbing along the beach. I have titled the painting Cornish Blues as it is a memory of Cornwall but the colour of the sea could be of a more exotic location. The painting was created with several layers of oil painting mixing the subtle transitions of blues and greens to echo the appearance of the water moving and the Cornish air above. The painting measures 53cm x 53cm and is presented in a bespoke hand-painted frame using Strong White by Farrow & Ball. The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and is ready to hang.
