Dovers Hill

The painting is inspired by the views looking towards Evesham from Dovers Hill which is a natural amphitheatre on a spur of the Cotswolds. The view is looking down the hill with a narrow opening with trees along each side. We took a walk to the top of the hill and I sketched the view before returning to the studio to paint. The original oil painting measures 84cm x 59cm and is presented in a tray frame and is ready to hang. The painting is signed on the front and is titled and dated on the reverse.
