Heather

A painting created on handmade linen using the finest Italian linen glued to an MDF panel combined with artisan finest quality oil paints by Wallace Seymour Fine Art Products. The painting explores the qualities of light experienced within the landscape. The painting has been completed using plant based solvents that are sustainably sourced, non-toxic and manufactured in the UK.

The piece is inspired by the heather moorlands and is a common feature within the English landscape. The area where heather is found is often bleak on high rocky ground and I always remember seeing heather in abundance when walking through the Yorkshire moorlands and Snowdonia in Wales. The painting contains muted roses, deep greens, peaty browns and peach hues in the landscape as well as mixed within the mood sky where the light is striking the ground below, perhaps after a storm has passed.

The painting is sold unframed but framing can be arranged at an additional cost. I would recommend a floating oak frame as presented on the website.
