Iron Plum Sky

A painting inspired by looking out from St Martins Island to the Atlantic Ocean painting in a turquoise blue. The sky was very atmospheric as if a storm was breaking out at sea and I decided to use Iron Plum as it granulates when mixed with water allowing the lighter blue to merge to create the appearance of storm clouds. The painting measures 21cm x 16cm and it was produced on smooth watercolour paper. The painting is mounted using acid free mount and is protected in cellophane. The painting is titled, dated and signed on reverse.
