Ochre Sands, Isles of Scilly

This painting as the name suggestes is inspired by the ochre sands of the Isles of Scilly. The beaches on St Martins were spectacular with open space for miles and a really interesting variety of different colours such as ochre in contrast to the dark rock that jutted out of the low lying landscape. The day was clearing with pale to mid blue skies emerging as we walked along the beach admiring the view towards Tresco. The a painting measures 15cm x 10cm and was created on smooth watercolour paper. the painting is mounted on an acid free mount and protected in cellophane. The painting is titled, signed and sated on reverse.
