Pink Sunrise, Porthmeor Beach

A painting inspired by a beautiful sunrise seen at Porthmeor Beach ins St Ives. The painting has been created with subtle transitions of pinks to blues in the sky and turquoise and cerulean blues in the water. The beach is made up of raw siennas and yellow ochres with the crashing waves depicted in white in the left hand corner of the composition. I often get up really early to see the sunrise and this painting is based on that experience of sheer tranquility and relaxation, breathing in the ocean air as the night rolls into day. The painting measures 53cm x 53cm and is presented in a hand painted tray frame and is ready to hang. The colour of the frame is Strong White by Farrow & Ball and the painting has been dated, titled and signed on the reverse.
