Rising Sea Levels, Thurlestone Beach

A painting inspired time spent walking along Thurlestone Beach in Devon. The title reflects my concern for the rising sea levels along this part of the British coastline. It was a very overcast day when I visited Thurlestone Beach and the colour of the sea was a very pale spearmint colour which looked stunning juxtaposed against the seaweed laden shoreline with pink slate. The painting is framed in a tray frame that has been hand-painted using 'Strong White' by Farrow & Ball and is ready to hang.
