Sand Storm

Sand Storm is a painting created in my garden studio in Stratford Upon Avon using oil on board. I have named this piece 'Sand Storm' as it reminds me of the times when I have been in the United Arab Emirates and experienced sand storms in the desert or along the shoreline whilst I have been painting. The energy in the piece created through swooping brushmarks to suggest the moevemnt of the sand. There is a small pocket of green within the painting that may suggest an oasis or patch of vegetation. The sky is a combination of titanium white, cerulean blues and green golds.
