Sea Nor Sky

A painting using oil on canvas and built up over many layers. The painting has been inspired by the winter weather in St Ives when the Atlantic was crashing into the harbour and churning up the sandy ochre seabed amongst the seaweed. Grey skies were overcast and it was tipping down with rain and the atmosphere of the Cornish elements was a reminder of the power of the sea. The painting is titled Sea Nor Sky as the horizon was disappearing as the weather became more intense.
